Bulgarian starts trial at Ewood Park

Bulgarian senior international Ivelin Popov has started a trial at Blackburn Rovers as takeover talk is put to one side in favour of cracking on.

The lad who is 22 plays for the almost wonderfully named Litex Lovech, will strut his stuff at Brockhall over the next few days as Blackburn search for firepower.

Ivelin can play either out on the right flank or as a second striker.

1 year deal.. if he is any good give him a better one.. because we will be able to replace him with better..
rover23
No we need him 2 years then we can sell him after 1 year to pay off our debt.....cheers
riisenholt
we wont have any debt rissenholt.. Mr. Syed is paying it all off :)
rover23
forget the debt, it's good profit for business!

He looks like a decent player. Give him 18 months, if he is no good sell him on.

R23, I think we will have debt if we get Syed in. Let us just hope Mr Williams have everything under control....cheers
riisenholt
Why must fans be so negative? Riise, I noticed you were pretty much the only person on here who wanted Shah instead of Syed. Do you have something against Syed? You seem quite negative towards him. The WGA is a multi billion pound company, I really do not see them letting us slip into debt.

i've got faith in Mr Williams and co to decide whether Mr Syed is the right man or not. In the meantime we need a striker or two so why not if he's decent enough i'm sure Big Sam will snap him up takeover or not.

Ben, I'm just a guy who works with economy, and can't see many take-overs which have been a succes. Which takeover do you call a succes? Maybe Chelski or Man City (finally) if you like their way of doing business, I don't too much money spending. Portsmouth, West Ham, Liverpool and Man Utd aren't a succes for the supporters as I hear it. As one Portsmouth fan wrote, by their take over they also got 100 mio £ for transfers but then the month after they got a debt of 200 mio £, and by mr Syed it just smells wrong. So I just hope that mr Williams can guide the BRFC ship to the right harbor for us supporters - fingers cross. I hope we can agree on the last thing :-).....cheers

im sure either way, the club will choose the right man

I understand what you are saying, Riise. They are very valid points. I don't want to be like City or Chelski, we are and always have been a family club and a club for the community. I don't want us to lose that just to gain success. But I am not worried about us ending up like Pompey, they were very poorly run and did not have a chairman like Williams in place. As for Man U and Liverpool, both sets of owners were in debt before taking over the clubs. Mr. Syed is not in debt and is not likely to end up in debt at any time. Mr. Shah only seems to want us because of our large Asian community, whereas Mr. Syed seems to want to actually buy us for personal reasons as well as business reasons. Of course we can agree on your last point, but we can also agree to disagree on who is the right man to take us forward =)
