Rovers drawn at home to Norwich in the Cup

Blackburn have been drawn at home to Norwich City in the second round of the Carling Cup.

Rovers did well last season to make it to within a whisker of Wembley before being knocked out by Aston Villa in a classic and will be hoping to go one further this time out.

Norwich are a good side and can blind you with that kit but Rovers boss Sam Allardyce will no doubt be pleased with a home tie.

I'd love to see a repeat of the 92 classic but if they take it seriously then we should get the result required. Sam knows a good cup run does wonders for the team performance.

Without as cash injection from the takeover, the domestic cups are the only realistic route for europa qualification, as far as Rovers concerned. Hope Sam will take the league cup seriously. Can't wait for the new season to start, and certainly looking forward to the cup clash against Norwich.
