Salgado wants to keep going

Michel Salgado is going to try and grab the bull by the horns and play on as long as possible.

Salgado signed a two year deal at the club last summer but sees no reason why he can't keep going - legs withstanding.

After a slow start to life at Ewood Park, my Spanish first namesake made the right back spot his own with some dogged and hell for leather displays.

I'll hand you over to the Tugay look-a-like himself to clarify things.

Michel told the Lancashire Telegraph: "It depends on the legs as to how long I will keep playing.

'I am fit, I can improve next year. Now I know the tempo of the league, I know my mates and I know the team.

'I can do the pre-season which I couldn`t do last year.

"Then maybe I can keep going after that. We will see, the first thing is to start the season, play well and build a team to try to do something big.

"For sure this a good club for players like me. I can advise players from Spain to come here and enjoy a different league with a good style of life that is different to Spain.

"You can work easily here at Blackburn. You come to the training ground and you only work, it professional.

'In Spain it is more press and fans and everything is different."

So just to repeat, Blackburn is better than the whole of Spain. You heard it here first.

I hope he can play until he is 40 haha. He is such a legend, which is probably quite the opposite to what I was saying 10 games into last season, but hey I'm fickle.

I hope we give him an official ambassador role when he retires! He seems good at persuading players to come to Rovers, i mean he convinced Guti and Raul... shame we couldn't afford the wages

Blackburn Confirm Caddis Arrival

Caddis, who left Bury at the end of a short deal, was given his chance due to his previous with Blackburn boss Mowbray at Celtic. But the ex-Birmingham full back has secured a deal.

Samuel Signing Sealed

Blackburn have signed Reading forward Dominic Samuel, who once worked with Mowbray at Coventry - also loaned to Colchester, Dagenham and Gillingham, ending last season at Ipswich.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
