Super Steve happy with new deal

Rovers new contract boy Steven 'The Zonz' N'Zonzi has spoken of his pleasure in signing a new deal at Ewood Park.

Last summer people only knew Steve as a man with a rather funny surname but there is no doubt as to who he is now.

The Zonz is set for another starring role this time out in Blue and White and was happy to commit to five more years in East Lancashire.

Super Steve, said to Rovers official website- "I am very pleased to sign the contract. The last season was good for the team, I was really pleased to play in the team.

"I played a lot of games, it was good for me, but I hope the next season will be better. Of course I am very happy here. I am happy to sign this new contract.

"I have learnt a lot of things. It is a strong league, very quick, the more games you play the more you learn."

Whatever you view point, be it idealist or cynical, there is no doubting this is win/win - If clubs come in for our younger lads we are in a strong bargaining financially, likewise it shows the lads are pleased with life here.

Happy days indeed.

It's really pleasing to see all these youngsters happy with life at our club. Big Sam must be given credit for giving them a chance.

A real find and a well deserved new contract, another tied down to a long term deal, which ain't worth the paper its written on, but worse case scenario we get a good price if he moves on nextr summer
