Grella is staying put

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Vince Grella will be at Blackburn Rovers next season.

Vince was apparently set for a move to Turkey this summer and had twice been reported as being on the Galatasaray radar.

But now it seems that his only way of going to the Turkish area is through a travel agent (I work on commission Vince by the way).

Big Sam very much views the Grella as a first team player it seems.

When asked whether he can deny the rumours, Allardyce said to the Lancs Telegraph - "Yes I can.

"We have had no contact whatsoever from Galatasaray I am led to believe and so Vince is still our player and I am glad to see him get another 60 minutes in."

"We wanted to get a stronger side out, which we did. In the first half that showed because we played some really good football.

"We scored one goal but we should have had more than that. We scored a good second goal in the second half, although Sydney did produce a good fightback.

"It was a good all round performance, with a lot of good football, a lot of chances and some good goals."

Sounds pretty definitive that... lets hope he can hit the ground running this time!

I'll second that, could be a pretty solid midfield pairing with N'Zonzi and Grella if he avoids the treatment table.

Great news! Was very impressed with the hour he put in against Sydney FC in the last match here. Lets hope he stays fit!

GGGrrrrrrrr, We should sell ASAP, he has done nothing in two years at Rovers and has been out performed by Andrews in that time, We got robbed of alot of cash when we bought him, and i think alot of Aussie blinkers surround this player. He aint up for it and if we can get any of the cash we paid for him, not forgetting he won't be on small wages then it would be great for Rovers, I think Sam is just keeping his options open as a reverse phycology form potential suitors so we don't look desperate to sell, this way we can get a good price instead of giving him away

Good thinking that Glen. I agree with the reverse psychology bit...

If he can stay fit??? which has obviously been a massive issue for him he will be worth it, he is a quality player for Australia and if he can replicate that form for Rovers we will be much better off IMO. Blinkers???? Probably. :D
