'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Big Sam very keen for takeover result

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to stress the importance of the takeover situation reaching a conclusion - whether the club changes hands or not.

The takeover discussions between interested parties and the Walkers have been ongoing for what seems like eternity but due to the signing of an NDA there has been no progress report.

But Big Sam wants it sorted and has highlighted how the process can affect on pitch matters.

'It has been a considerable time since this consortium has been looking at possibly purchasing the club,' Big Sam said in the Daily Express.

'It will be very close to a decision one way or another. They've had all the information and all the due diligence done that they need to do.

'That consortium probably needs to make a decision one way or the other whether it is the right thing for them or not.

'It is very important for the whole club and particularly important for me to know where the club is going.

'If you are getting new owners you want to know what they want to do and how they want to progress as a football club, which is important for me and the players here.'

He has already voiced this concern once, I think the man is getting a little impatient like the rest of us!

This is the second time he has voiced off!!!

Understandable if he can't make any movement on signing a striker, so far preparation and planning for the new season has been non-existant in the striking department, after last season's lack of firepower up front is a major concern

dont no why peoiple thought it would be done quickly, for me, as long as they get it right, then im happy either way

SAS a lot of people expected most deals to be done before the world cup, before price frenzy kicked in, as per previous tournaments. But I'm guessing the FA squad ruling, plus most sides being the wrong side of being skint has slowed the whole market down. Most Rovers fan are worried we didn't score enough up front last season and would have expected plans to be in place ASAP to prevent a repeat of last year's famine, the lack of pre-season forward goals would fuel that concern

We need something doing very quickly, still no signings and the season very close now
