With your help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2009-2010 season.
The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2009-2010 continue to be dished out with the ALAN SHEARER AWARD FOR FORWARD OF THE SEASON.
THE WINNER: Jason Roberts.
When asked to simply leave the name of your Forward of the Season most felt Roberts should be the Award Winner, so congratulations (in what was a category of slim pickings really, not that I'm trying to take anything away from Roberts) to JR!!
This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by click here.
rover23 said: "this shows how good our forwards have been this season... Roberts... he has the best goal to game ratio."
adrianbrfc said: "Kalinic has looked promising but only in flashes, gonna have to give it to Jason Roberts."
Mikey Delap said: "I'll give it to Jason Roberts."
A weak category for sure, he has his faults but his goals to games was better than anyone else and stuck to task well - Burnley away springs to mind.
If Niko doesn't win this category next year then I shall be very disappointed.
My vote - J-Rob."
fransavarese said: "Yeah not a lot of competition here, which is one of the few disappointments of our season. For the same reasons as others I'll go for Roberts. Can't ever knock his work ethic and passion."
BomBom said: "Niko Kalinic, even when he wasnt scoring, his willingness to put his body on the line (to be fair, hes not a natural target man) and hes all around performances. Promising."
blackburnsean said: "Nobody, they have all been S**Te."
DommyWalker said: "wow, i guess i need to go with dunn again. he IS our top scorer and he was playing in a forward role at times?!...whatever, no one else deserves it more than him."
ITSALLROVER said: "Niko kalinic ...let's be fair to the lad he came with a fairly hefty price tag for a young age and he didn't play that often first half of the season but when he did he scored a few and probably set a record for hitting the frame of the goal so much. lol."
FreidelNo.1 said: "I'm classing Dunny as a midfielder - so I'll have to go with Kalinic - I think he had an average season - but showed signs of quality and worked hard. The system didn't help him, but next season I expect more from him."
oziroversfan said: "Jason Roberts."
retroflair31 said: "The most underrated and loyal player in the PL- our very own No.9 Jason Roberts."
markj87 said: "Our best forward was dunn.
The others were rotated, chopped and changed as they could not consistently hit that barn door with the banjo. That said Nico will improve"
Thanks for voting on this, however, please keep your votes coming in for these other Awards as there is still time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want.
Next to be dished out will be the penultimate Award for the YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON so keep voting!! (Click here.)
