Zurab on verge of Russian move

Zurab on verge of Russian move

Zurab Khizanishvili is set for a move closer to Georgia with Russian club Anzhi after being told by Rovers that he is no longer wanted.

Zurab was on-loan last season to Newcastle and Reading but neither firmed up their interest with a full time bid.

But the Russian side are game and are attracted to the fact that Khiza would cost nothing (apart from his wages obviously).

Khiza is probably keen to move on for footballing reasons as Big Sam has already told him he will not be on the list of 25 players that are eligible to play this season.

Good move for all concerned if the underrated Zurab moves on.

With Zurab reportedly on £30,000 a week this needs to happen for our sake I fear.
