Big Sam would like a crack at international game

Rovers manager Sam Allardyce wants a go at managing an international side - in 2/3 years time.

Sam missed out on the England job when Steve McLaren was appointed a few years ago and that still rankles with him.

Sam has been going about building up Blackburn in the last season and a half and sees himself in the helm for a few years before moving on to the international stage.

Big Sam spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph said - "I would like to coach a national team, if one came up, in another two years, another two to three years in the Premier League is about what I want to do.

"We`ll see how far we can take Blackburn Rovers, we`ll see if we can get them beyond where most people expect and then after that, managing a national side would be very interesting."

So there you have it...

Seems Sam has set himself a fair time line on which to achieve what he would like. If he gets us up to the level he suggests then I think he could leave with our blessing.

Big Sam to coach the Australian team! I'd like that. :D

Sam is eyeing for the England job, hoping Capello screws up in the Euro 2012. But i can't see him being considered a real serious contender, unless he can steer Rovers nearer to the top six or seven.
