Most Improved Player Of The Season

With your help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2009-2010 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2009-2010 continue to be dished out with the MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: Martin Olsson.

When asked to simply leave the name of your Most Improved Player of the Season most felt Olsson should be the Award Winner, so congratulations to the young Swede on winning this Award, having turned his Rovers career around from being one of the worst performers the season before!!

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

rover23 said: "Martin Olsson! come good this season on the left wing.... just as me and 74 predicted."

BigNumber5 said: "Got to be Olsson... hasn't it?!"

adrianbrfc said: "Martin Olsson."

Mikey Delap said: "If he doesn't win then I will be absolutely flabbergasted.

Started the season as a joke, ended it as an automatic pick, a big player for the future and a fans favourite.

My vote - Martin Olsson.
"

fransavarese said: "My young player of the year also the most improved for me. Olsson gets my vote too!"

FreidelNo.1 said: "Without a doubt it's Olsson! Last season he was awful and now he's turned into a good winger!"

LHrover said: "Id say Salgado - but he wasnt with us last season."

So my vote goes to Jason Roberts, last season he was overshadowed a little by Benni and 'Santa', this season he has shown us he can hold off defenders on his own and play the midfield in. plus he got an MBE for his services to Rovers."

BomBom said: "Gotta be Martin Olsson, albeit not at left back but by god the lad has a future on the wing!"

spinaker said: "I agree.. Olsson has been a revelation for us this season!"

blackburnsean said: "Defo, Olsson has been brilliant with a good attitude. He could have easily got hacked off with the lack of opportunities he used to get."

DommyWalker said: "This has to go to Olsson. Who would have known? His emergence also forced Gamst to a new position, where he recovered some of his form."

ITSALLROVER said: "Martin Olsson without a doubt."

oziroversfan said: "Yep no doubt about it Olsson."

retroflair31 said: "Olsson."

Thanks for voting on this, however, please keep your votes coming in for these other Awards as there is still time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want.

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the GOAL OF THE SEASON so keep voting!! (Click here.)

Mikey Delap
Agreed - completely different player
Freidelno.1
I heard his twin brother was saying he wants to move to England at some point! He had a good season in Sweden and now Dutch and German clubs are tracking him If he's anything like Martin we should snap him up!
fransavarese
was a no-brainer this one. shame his brother doesn't play on the right wing.
