Teymourian invited to Australia

Andranik Teymourian is to be invited to the Sydney festival of football as part of the Blackburn Rovers squad.

The Iranian is gagging to become part of the Rovers set up but wants to know himself what Sam has in store for him before he accepts the invitation to come along.

Teymourian was at Huddersfield last night as yours truly witnessed a glorified training game with Andranik being part of the side made up mainly of young sporting youngsters and El Hadji Diouf.

Sam spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph and said - "Ando has trained very well but that doesn't mean very much until he gets into game situations. It would be good if we could resurrect his career.

"He was very good at Southport but this proved to be more of a test. It was a hard test because people around him were the young players.

"It was hard to show his full talent but I think he showed enough to get him off to Australia and we will see where we go from there.

"I know what sort of player he was four years ago. I don't know why he has slipped back as far as he has but obviously his lack of football is his big problem.

'Can he overcome that lack of football and do enough in the time he is with us to secure a contract?"

To his credit, even though Rovers were only playing at half pace last night, Andranik did show some touches of quality and controlled his part of the game well.

He has looked decentish, better than Andrews I would say for starters.
Mikey Delap
is he a tugay-ish player?
DommyWalker
According to the LET he turned the offer of going to Aus down. Don't think we have missed out on anything other than an average player though.

Are we clutching at straw here?

Not made it at two prem clubs already so good riddance if he is going to look elsewhere, we should be looking for better

He is not coming to Australia and has decided to stay in the UK to look at other options. No great loss i don't think.
oziroversfan
Sheffield Utd i think he's decided to try his luck at now, says summat when he thinks they are a better club as to how unattractive we have become.
