Jeffers, Remember Him? How Could We Forget!!

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Francis Jeffers could be handed a Premier League lifeline by Blackpool.

Blackpool (as they prepare for life in the Premier League) have taken Jeffers on trial and Ian Holloway is prepared to give him plenty of time to show him what he can do.

Holloway told the Daily Mail: "He's only been with us for two days. Obviously he's been quality in the past, but things didn't work out for him last year. We've given him a chance to show me what he can do."

The 29-year-old was released by Sheffield Wednesday after they were relegated to League One, Wednesday picked him up from Rovers after we'd offloaded him having picked the former England International up from Charlton Athletic when they parted company with the former Everton and Arsenal striker.

Jeffers must be one of the luckiest footballers alive (however, he's been unlucky with injuries really) if he manages to find himself another club after his record in recent years, if this is a Premier League club then they might need some luck if they're pinning their hopes of him!!

My m8 at Wednesday says he goes off injured with a cold-sore which sums up this work shy overrated untalented useless sack of manure. I cant see Holloway taking him on but if he does then this has to be his last chance at mediocrity
