Olsson to be all good for Australia

Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that the knock picked up by winger Martin Olsson is not as bad as feared.

Rovers lost 3-0 in what Rover23 described as 'one of the worst games ever' to Preston last night and to cap it off it looked like up and coming star Olsson may have put himself out of the Australia trip with a knee problem after 20 minutes.

But Sam has alleviated fears of a problem and is confident Olsson will be back soon.

Allardyce told Sky Sports News - 'It felt a little bit achy and then got worse instead of disappearing, so we brought him off as a precautionary measure.

'Hopefully it'll be just a few days to recover from that and he should be fine for Australia.'

Just make sure they play better in Oz than they did in Preston.

Hopefully starting with a nice little showing tonight at Huddersfield.

Pleased about this as he could be key this season...

Yep - who would have thought that at the start of last season! He's come a long way

We need more than one 'key' on last nights showing. Three of the best players on the pitch were two we sold and a striker we could have bought last month. Hope this was just a blip and not a guide to form. We were lucky to hold them to 3, they could have had 2 more. When their supporters started taunting with "Your going down with Blackpool" they were "avin a laf", by the end of the match they meant it. There were some very sub standard performances last night. Far too much passing back instead of forward. Little desire to shoot from outside the box, by which time their defence were in control. Untill last night I thought the players selected for this match would put on a good performance. I was wrong. As well as a striker, we are short of a 'Tugay' with FORWARD defence spliting passes to the TWO strikers. On last nights showing PNE looked the Premiership side and BRFC the Championship one.

it is pre-season though... no-one shoots from outside the box! it was only a run out so lets not panic!!!

yeh he is something we need, he has pace a great shot and he can cross, he can also play defence i could deal with the gmast on the right and dunny as attackin mid with two strikers hopefull raul is one

"No one shoots from outside the box" It's time they did. The best goals at the world cup and our best goal last season were from outside the box, it's time we got back to proper football instead of head tennis and back passing.
