Report - Rovers miss out on Guti

Real Madrid midfielder and long time Rovers target Guti has joined Turkish side Besiktas, according to a reports Turkey and in particular in Hurriyet.

Guti has reported to have agreed a 2.4 million a year deal that will last two years as Rovers dithering seems to have cost them the chance to sign the flair player up.

Rovers are still on the hunt for a striker and considered Guti (a winger/midfielder) as an after thought as they looked to sign firepower before anything else.

This has given Guti time to look elsewhere as Michel Salgado's efforts in setting up the deal look to have gone unrewarded.

Personally... GUTTED.

Absolutely gutted...but then again Raul was supposed to have agreed terms with Schalke but it turns out he may not go there, so there is still a tiny bit of hope! Lol getting desperate now

Not shocked at all, just surprised he wasn't snapped up by another team weeks ago to be honest. What a waste.

Raul and Guti won't be coming to Rovers. Hope Sam will bring De Santos here on loan.
