West Brom Return For Rovers' Roberts??

Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts is once again being linked with an Ewood Park exit.

News that Roberts could leave Rovers often crops up, however, this time maybe there could be a bit more truth to it and also a little more interest for the striker personally to want to make this move as the club that are understood to want him are West Bromwich Albion, who he has a history with.

JR followed in the footsteps of his uncle Cyril Regis by playing for West Brom and like Regis before him enjoyed a successful spell with the Baggies. A return to the Hawthorns would appeal to the 32-year-old and if this offered him regular first-team action (something he lacks at Ewood) it would make it an easier decision to make.

Newspaper reports are saying that West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo is willing to offer Rovers £1 million for JR as he looks to bring in much needed attacking reinforcements for the Premier League season and this could tempt Sam Allardyce to sell??

Can't really sell him till we at least bring in another striker! and preferably 2, but £1 million for an inconsistent 32 year old striker who doesn't score? at any other time this would be a great deal

The chance has arrived for us to offload Jason Prolific Roberts, and we'll get 1M for him. Sell him before the interest dies off.

£1 million pounds!!! where do we sign???
ITSALLROVER
But we'd be left with one striker and who would we sign to replace?!
Mikey Delap
It's half of the asking price for Beattie, so just add another million and we can have him
Marsmanic
not to mention has anyone else noticed Blackmans form for the Reserves in pre season? 3 goals in 2, if he can keep that up he will be getting himself a place in the seniors.
Marsmanic
I think we should keep JR at least until January. He's strong, dependable and a good target man. He does lack goals, but so do most of our players bar David Dunn! Hoping we can buy someone in who can do his job will be foolish.

Would love to see Nick Blackman being given to the chance to provide competition to Kallinic and Roberts in the 1st team. Maceo Rigters still a Rovers player?!! 2.5M transfer kitty it's tough to sign a decent striker, Sam is looking to raise funds by selling some fringe players, Roberts might be one of them.
