A Raul Deal For Rovers??

Blackburn Rovers have been keeping an eye on the movements of Raul and Sam Allardyce hoped to pull off a major transfer coup by signing the Spanish Legend. The chances of this looked as though they'd passed by perhaps not??

Raul's love affair with Real Madrid is understood to be ending this summer after 16 seasons with the Spanish Giants, which has seen him score an amazing 311 goals. Allardyce has been interested in signing the striker, however, the chances of doing this seemed to have passed but that might not be the case?

The former Spanish International was understood to be closing in on a deal with Schalke 04, however, Rovers and Manchester United may still be options for the striker with Spanish newspaper Marca saying that the German club could be dismissed in favour of a move to England.

Raul's friendship with former Madrid team-mate Michel Salgado could yet persuade the 33-year-old to come to Ewood Park, however, those Marca reports also understand that Manure are looking to discuss personal terms with him.

Hope the new buyers that come in (hopefully) are willing to take his wage on!

Sacrificing some of the meagre transfer budget to compensate his wages?

Think of the potential shirt sales in Madrid!
Marsmanic
Is it final that a club have to avoid deficits on profit & loss accounts - besides transfer money? So the total amount of wages and other running monthly expenses have to be covered by money from television, sponsor, merchandise, attendence on the Ewood etc. It was something UEFA decided right? Just to know what we have to work from :-)......cheers

I think they are trying to bring it in the next five years...
