Rovers Howler Of The Season

With your help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2009-2010 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2009-2010 continue to be dished out with the BOMBOM GONG FOR THE HOWLER OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: Sam Ricketts' own goal for Rovers v Bolton Wanderers

When asked to simply leave the moment, the miss, the goal conceded whatever you felt most deserves the BomBom Gong for the Rovers Howler of the Season most decided to take this in a different direction and went for a howler that benefited Rovers, as Ricketts put through his own net for Rovers against Bolton, so this should be the Award Winner! Unwanted congratulations I suppose go to Mr Samuel Ricketts (quite a fitting name really!!)

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

rover23 said: "However if we are allowed to vote for goals against us! has to be the Own goal at Bolton by Sam Ricketts!"

Mikey Delap said: "I am going to go against the grain and vote for Sam Ricketts header that actually benefitted us at the Reebok.

My vote - Sam Ricketts own goal.
"

fransavarese said: "Yeah even though that goal counted in our favour I actually cringed a little. Then I burst out laughing."

LHrover said: "Have to be samba tackle to get sent off v villa in the semi....slide from behind..."

BomBom said: "Sam, for telling the fans at the start of the year, when the boo birds were getting on him for his 451 formation to "Trust me, I know what I'm doing, you don't!" speech!

Went down a bloody storm and alienated a large part of the fans who had to be won back over because of the arrogance in it!

He learned quick tho, fair dues LOL
"

blackburnsean said: "Samba at villa. such a shame."

ITSALLROVER said: "Sam Ricketts BOLTON GAME."

FreidelNo.1 said: "Diouf - claiming that invisible bananas were thrown at him by Everton fans - idiot!"

Thanks for voting on this, however, please keep your votes coming in for these other Awards as there is still time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want.

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the WORST MONTH OF THE SEASON so keep voting!! (Click here.)
