Time for Khiza to leave Rovers

Zurab Khizanishvili's time at Blackburn Rovers should be coming to the end soon, that is the opinion of Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.

Zurab has, in recent times, been on loan at Newcastle and Reading as he has been considered surplus to requirement at Rovers for a while now.

But since neither loan club backed up their talk with a permanent move Rovers have been left with a defender who Big Sam feels should move on but one who wants to stay and fight for his place.

When asked about Zurab's future, Big Sam spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph and said - 'No. He is one to let go for our sake and for his. He has played far too little football at this club over the last two years to be wanting to stay and for us to be wanting to keep him.

"I think wherever a football club would like to take him on, we wouldn`t be standing in his way. We would not want to loan him again We want him to build a future for himself. He has still got a few good years of playing football in him.

"Of course one of the problems is he can`t match the salary at other clubs that he gets at Blackburn Rovers now. That is one of the major reasons he hasn`t moved on in the past two years.

"But now is the time to move for the football rather than thinking about the money."

I agree with the big guy here, as much as I like Khiza I feel we need as much money as we can to fill the coffers - and he won't get in the team here.

Time to go Mr.Georgia.

Surely even Zurab must realise this despite the fighting talk a week or so back?

hes been a good servant for the club and when he has played hes been consistant. I hope he goes somewhere and does well.
