'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Olsson turned down Spanish clubs

Martin Olsson turned down Atletico Madrid and Valencia to stay at Ewood Park.

Olsson made some comments a few months back that even if big clubs came knocking then he would stay at Blackburn Rovers as he loved it here and felt the connection with the fans.

And what do you know... he was telling the truth!

Footballers, truth!!! That's a new one.

Martin's agent told Sportbladet - 'Manager Sam Allardyce has got a lot of confidence in Martin,'

'There was interest from Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

'But Martin will now get the chance to progress in the best league in the world.'

Well done Martin, firmly on his way to becoming a Ewood cult figure.

Turning down deals from bigger clubs. It just gets better! It shows a real faith that the youth have in the club aiding their development as they are all signing on.
