'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We're serious about buying Blackburn Rovers

Saurin Shah, the Indian businessman who has made an offer for Blackburn Rovers, insists that he is serious about buying the club.

Shah's interest in the club was made big news yesterday morning and since then we have all sat wondering whether this was another false dawn or not.

But judging by the brief statement he has made this morning, it seems we have a genuine interest.

Shah, spoke to the Mirror newspaper and said -"We`re serious, we`re in negotiations. We`ve acquired the right of due diligence. We have the right of first refusal.

"There are many Indian and Pakistani people in Lancashire. So the interest is natural."

Let's hope this is all backed up.

I don't think this is the last we'll hear about this!!!

Really do hope he is serious, just hope it doesn't end up with us having to use parachute payments to buy players.

"There are many Indian and Pakistani people in Lancashire" Is this a valid reason to buy a football club? I'm not so sure about this.

being brought up in Blackburn.. going to a school which was highly populated with asian and indian people.. i can assure you.. that the majority support Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.. so if Shah is pinning hopes of revenue from them, hes going to have to sign some major players for them to change there support...

it doesnt matter if they support manchester united arsenal or chelsea, where do they live?? If there is cheap football, and on the doorstep, and they have a greater affiliation with the club than they do now, views could change! you never know rover23...
