Chimbonda happy at Ewood Park

Pascal Chimbonda, contrary to press and fan speculation, is not looking to move away from Blackburn this summer.

Chimbonda had an impressive start to life at Ewood Park and netted in the glorious 3-2 win over Burnley way back in October.

But since then, a combination of Gael Givet and Michel Salgado have kept Fruit Pascal out of the full back slots and it appeared that with Lars Jacobsen also vying for a spot in the team that the much maligned Frenchman may have been heading for the exit door.

Asked by the Lancashire Telegraph if Chimbonda would put in a transfer request this summer, McKay said: 'No, he's quite happy there.'

I am not sure if Pascal can get past fans favourite Michel Salgado to get that right back slot in the team.

But would he really want to move on AGAIN after spells at Wigan, Spurs, Sunderland and Spurs again?

Could be an interesting one this???

Always fancied Chimbo to get a role a bit further up the pitch, either in central midfield or on the flanks. I think he can be another Emerton, not brilliant at one position, but great at several positions! Though there will never be another Emerton! Chimbo can be the downgraded version lol
