Gala in for Grella and Polish man move back on?

So it seems as if we may get some sort of transfer activity before the World Cup.

Just as hope seemed to be fading rapidly, it looks as if one Rover looks to be leaving there could be a new boy as well.

Rovers midfielder Vince Grella, who seemed certain to start the new season at Ewood Park, is being packaged off to Galatasaray - this isn't even an isolated story, it seems close to a done deal if you believe more or less all of the English press.

£2.5 seems to be the valuation and it looks like this move could pave the way for some extra spending power, which in turn would let Rovers re-enter the bidding for...

Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker looked like a Borussia Dortmund player last week but the move has frozen which has allowed Rovers back in.

They were priced out of a move at the first attempt but £2.5 million of Vince Grella money would put the Blue and White back in contention.

So a midfielder out and a striker in? Seem like the right move?

Are these stories wide of the mark?

Can we please have some answers instead of questions for a change?!

I personally wouldn't want Grella to go (even for all the injuries) but £2.5 million is a lot of money for a club like Rovers.

I don't want to see hime go either, But the cash does seem good for a player that has struggled to be fit.

Very nice, haven't seen much of Grella because he is has injury all the time so I like to get 2,5 mill of a man which isn't playing....cheers
riisenholt
if it means Guti can come in to replace grella and we get Lewandowski then im all for it... Vince has been 2 injury prone for me.. and 4.5m was a lot to spend on him..
rover23
sounds like a shrewd move.

If all we did this Summer was sign Guti and Lewandowski.. I'd be a happy man.

Yep sounds good to me. 2.5 mil not to be sniffed at. if we can get Guti, Lewandowski or maybe even Ledley in the mix i'll be very happy.
ITSALLROVER
have not had a sniff of this down under at all....not to sure whats happening here!

Sasman, On the news on Monday night they mentioned he was leaving for Galatasaray. But i didn't believe it as i hadn't heard any news here about it. But seems a definite now.

im still not convinced to be honest....the only thing we have heard was an original article on tribal football out of all sources, which said quote, a source close to VInce Grella's agent, end quote.....Now im not saying anything here about tribal football at all......but, until someone from either camp does say anything, Vinnie G is a full time Socceroo and part time Rover lolllll
sasman
id like to keep him, hes a very good ball winner, and i reckon if he plays a full season uninjured we could get double that for him
LHrover
I hope its made up. taking a loss on grella would be stupid for two reasons 1. he can play 2. his value will go up after the world cup. give him at least till christmas
retroflair31
ive always said please give him until Christmas, if he aint performing well, im sure we can still get 2 mill pound fee for him round then, and il have no arguments!
sasman
Full time socceroo and part time Rover! Hahaha Good call Sas! :)
