Rovers switch Pompey target or so it seems

After a few weeks it seems of trying to get hold of and tie down Aruna Dindane to a move to East Lancashire, Rovers appear to be eyeing up the guy who played alongside him this season.

Frederic Piquionne, or 'Pickaweeny' as my father in law insists on calling him, is now in the Rovers sights after a good spell on loan at Pompey last season.

Both players are believed to be under consideration by Allardyce who as we all know now is actively looking for a striker prior to the World Cup... but only one will be signed.

So who do you prefer?

And maybe some Vital Pompey boys/girls can tell us which one may be better if they would be kind this Monday morning?

They never use to be able to play well in the same match so dont buy them both. Piquionne grew with the premierleague and really looked comfortable at the end, dindane was probably more skillful but did drift in and out of games, my view anyhow.

It would have to be Dindane for me, seen them both play quite a bit this season, and Piquionne is like a poor relative of Roberts, whilst Dindane is more skillful and has more to his game, although i think Sam would prob pitch for Piquionne as he is more of a Sam type player in the fact he is a target Man, Me personally would perhaps have

Dindane, but in truth I'd have neither, Rovers have not got a good record of signing players from relegated clubs and i can think of a few which helped Rovers get relegated in the past i.e Ashley Ward, If they were any good Portsmouth would not be in the Championship next season, Just my opinion

Depends what sort of player you want. If you look at the number of headers that Freddie won Saturday, if we had been playing 4-4-2, then his input could've been more influential. Dindane is like many skillful players in as much as he is very frustrating to watch. Either would be great for us in the Championship.

I would plump for Piquionne myself, he seems to suit the sort of style we play but I am confident we could integrate either...

In the lone strikers role, neither of these can do a better job then JR.

Kalinic and J-Rob are both better as lone strikers... I agree.

Piquionne, even if it will cost more to put on the back of my shirt, he showed he was a good player

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
