Big Sam hoping Big Finish will keep Morten here

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is convinced that the run of games that ended the Ewood Park sides season could sway Morten to stay at Rovers and sign his new deal.

Morten has stalled as only most classic motor engines can over his new contract and has been as non-committal as a customer service desk when asked about it so the omens have not looked good by any means.

But a run of games that has resulted in Arsenal and Aston Villa being dispatched to much fanfare may make Morten see the light as a future of promise at the club gathers steam.

Allardyce, speaking to Sky Sports said when asked if there was any news on the Pedersen contract - 'No, I don't know yet. We are still keeping our fingers crossed.

'Hopefully the last two results will go some way to try and sort it out in our favour and he won't go anywhere else.'

'I've been in a great dressing room (after the Villa win). It borders for me on the time that I had at Bolton, it feels that good.

'There is a lot to be said for that feeling. It doesn't come around too often and I never felt that I would get that type of unity and team spirit within 18 months (since taking over as manager), given all the changes we have had.'

I have a spare pen if you need one Morten?

unsure about him now, when hes interested hes a good player...hes gone too 'diouf like' for my likings recently.

Diouf like?!? Has he spat at you and dived on the floor LH?!

Why are we worrying??? The guy is knob who is holding us to randsome!!! GET RID

Difficult to replace with no money though dude I suspect...

if he can keep up his performance that he put in in the second half of the season, the wait is worthwhile. he is a threat to the defence when he is playing in the middle and his willingness to defend is often overlooked.
DommyWalker
if he wanted to sign he woulda done already, shame but we'll have to move on. Martin Olsson can fill the left void so i would rather pay a few new signings popstar wages that Pedersen to be honest.
ITSALLROVER
It would mean we only had to find 2 players with our £5-6m rather than 3 is he stayed so i'm all for it. Especially if we can get someone on a free like Ledley..
bignumber5
surely he'll sign. Not getting a better deal anywhere else.

Thats where you're wrong Retro....he will be being offered more money elsewhere, no doubt!! Dont get me wrong he has been half-ish decent this season but i hate that someone who has been soooooooooooooooooooo poor for so long has the balls to mess us around!!! As i said before HE should be pleading to play for us!!
mani13963
should be on his knees begging i agree mani... but where are these offers? who is going to give him more money and first team football?
retroflair31
Galatasaraay and Olympiakos will be offering more dough i reckon mate but he will be worried because if he plays as terribly as he has done for us, for them then he will be well n truly on the scrap heap within 12 months!!!
mani13963
He doesn't want to stay so just tell him to bugger off!!
Walker
lol i think Big Sam has done all he can. might be the only option Walker
