Zurab - time to go probably

Rovers defender Zurab Khizanishvilli, currently on loan to Reading in the Championship, seems to indicate with his latest comments that he would like to stay at the Royals.

Khiza has pretty much noticed that he won't be in Big Sam's future plans and has had a solid season in the hoops of Reading.

Now seems as good as anytime to make a move. With Reading being the obvious destination for those that have been paying attention.

Zurab, speaking to Sky Sports said - 'I have spoken to (Royals boss) Brian McDermott and I hope to be back.

'But it's not definite as I still have a one-year contract at Blackburn so it's 50-50 I would say.

'I have a game with the national team at the end of May and my agent is coming to talk with Blackburn and Reading, so we have to wait and see.'

Over and out it seems? I would say so as Zurab would make a cracking Championship player.

It's just as well I checked before I clicked on "submit" wasn't it as I would've duplicated an article!! This is some of what I had said in what I wrote though. Personally I hope that the Monk gets this chance to return to the Championship side as he'll not really be involved at Ewood Park next season will he? The defender could be sold (which wouldn't be for too much), released or loaned back to Reading for a year until his contract with Rovers expires?? Whatever happens I hope that the dude can get the move he craves as he deserves it.

why didn't we sell him last year? i wish Zurab all the best, but this has got to be the end. any fee would be a bonus
