No loan rangers please says Allardyce

Seriosuly how many interviews does Allardyce give?

Maybe he is bored at the lack of excitement in the Rovers run in but he certainly seems to be talking about all things sundry at the moment!

Maybe a seminar on why inflationary pressures affect the cost of importing cheese?

This time our leader has been laying out the boundaries when it comes to summer incomings - insisting he is not keen on loan signings.

Rovers currently have Franco Di Santo on loan for the season but will not be bringing him back next season after his spell ended in disappointment.

Big Sam spoke to Lancashire Telegraph and said - "I am not really tempted to go back into the loan market,"

"I am not really a huge fan of loans at the moment in terms of if you can get someone permanently and develop them.

"These days, players are far and fewer between on loan. Valuations for players are running so high now, clubs know they can get the money they are looking for rather than loaning them out.

"Salary wise lower league players would come cheaper. But transfer fee wise I am not so sure. What we need is someone to come straight in and do a job."

Two and a half words that might tempt Big Sam back into the loan market for next season...

Jamie. O'Hara.

I would imagine we would make one loan signing due to budget constraints before the start of the loan season... despite protestations from the boss.

since the mark hughes era, we have always snared a loan signing or two, David Bentley, Gael Givet, Franco Di Santo, Carlos Villanueva, Zurab Khishanishvilli, Shabani Nonda (have i missed anyone?).... Im sure if the right player became available to loan, Sam would snap him up....yes, Jamie O'Hara does come to mind lol. If we cant sign a striker, would be great to get a proven goal scorer on loan, could save us millions.....one of Man City's 38 strikers would be fine!!!

I don't mind loan signings... as long as they contain a buy out clause.. because then its a win win... if there top players.. we can get them for a cheap buy out clause.. and if there shocking.. we can just let them leave..

good point 23, imagine the givet deal without a buy clause....

I think O'Hara will be snapped up in the summer either way so he would be a good buy or a loan.
