After a lot of thinking it's with a heavy heart that I've decided that I feel it's in the best interest of you VBers (Vital Blackburner's) for me to step aside as Vital Blackburn's Editor.
I've lost track of the number of years that I've been the Editor (as Hughes Da Man before changing to Walker after the VBer's voted this as the username change following Mark Hughes' departure), I think it's something like the past five seasons at least?? However long it's been I've enjoyed every minute of it and it's been a pleasure to see Vital Blackburn grow as it has from a handful of members to several hundred with this growth on both sides of this website (here with the articles and in the forum), my own input on all areas has certainly dipped away (well below what I would have wanted and expected from myself) in recent times due to work commitments. This is what has seen me make this decision.
Roversman (who no longer writes for Vital Blackburn), Mike Delap, sasman and BomBom have been superb as Co-Editors and their input (particularly when mine has dipped away) has seen this growth continue and I'm sure this will continue to be the case now that I'm moving aside. Mr Mikey will be taking over as this websites Editor immediately and I know it's being left in safe hands as in many ways he's been doing this for most of the season anyway, even if he might not agree?? I think he knows (as do you) that he has really so he's the obvious and natural choice and will do a superb job bringing his own ideas and visions to the table and implementing them as he sees fit.
However, you're not getting rid of me that easily though as it would be too much of a wrench to walk away completely, so I'm not!! I'm going to stay on to become one of Mr Mikey's Co-Editors as I personally feel there will be less pressure doing this.
Thank you for everything though and all the support given to me during my many years as Editor of Vital Blackburn.
Walker.
