Allardyce loving the new referee gadget

Allardyce loving the new referee gadget

Big Sam has thrown his weight (no pun intended) behind a new innovation for referees, the motorised referee-mobile!

It is a simple device that is intended to allow officials to keep pace with highly athletic players and also to decrease the level of mistakes.

Big Sam is fully behind the new machines which will be tested in the Blue Square Premier next season.

For a pick of the device in question check out this link - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2915909/See-the-incredible-new-innovation-set-to-take-football-by-storm.html

Allardyce, speaking to the Sun newspaper said - "Players are athletes and we can`t expect refs to keep up with them for a full 90 minutes, so this gives them a real edge.

"We can no longer say the referee was nowhere near the incident because, with this, he will be.

"Finally refs and managers are listening to each other."

No word yet on if the ref-mobile will allow the ref to outpace Michel Salgado, although intial testing indicates this is highly likely.
