Dunn Keen On Burnley Survival!!

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn has revealed that he's hoping that Burnley can avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Dunn scored the winner from the penalty spot so he proved the match winner, however, the midfielder (who felt we deserved to win) was quick to praise the defensive display.

Dunn told Sky Sports: "As a team we defended really well - the back four with Chris Samba and Phil Jones particularly were outstanding.

"Once we got the goal that changed things and we could sit back and wait for them to make mistakes and counter-attack them.
"

Despite Burnley being our fierce rivals and looking relegation squarely in the eyes the former England International hopes that they avoid relegation.

He added: "I genuinely do hope Burnley go on a little run now and nick a few wins."

It's always nice to have local derbies, so from that viewpoint I understand what Dunny is saying, however, personally I can't say that I'll be hoping for them to avoid relegation even if I might not (at the same time) be desperate for them to go down.
