Summer move for Schmeichel?

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is reported in the gossip rags this morning to be lining up a summer move for Kasper Schmeichel.

Allardyce wants to provide more competition for current number one Paul Robinson and with Mark Bunn likely to be sold to Sheffield United in the summer, Big Sam sees the Notts County keeper as the answer... apparently.

Schmeichel was signed by Notts County in the summer for very large money (£12,000 a week wages) for a League Two club, this was during the Munto Finance debacle at the club as they attempted to become a League Two Pompey.

But Notts now live within their means and have deemed that £12,000 a week is too much to fork out and will look to sell in the summer.

Rovers are apparently keen to sign the man who is the best keeper in League Two.

Surely a bit of gossip but amusing none the less!!!!

Yet another keeper ! What is wrong with Robbo/Browny/Franky! Also they are 3 homegrown (in terms of the rule), talented keepers.

I forgot Bunn too!!!!

'league 2 pompey' lol good call. but we really don't need another keeper do we? theres already about 30 on the books!

Pointless signing with all the other good keepers we have on the books. Plus I was never overly convinced by him at City, just seemed to flap at everything.

Bunn is going to leave and I personally think that Brown will want to leave in the summer as well. I think that Fielding is going to be a superb goalkeeper but could see Big Sam making a move for someone like him.
