Petrov Link Dismissed
Despite press claims to the contrary, Celtic boss Gordon Strachan says that Stilian Petrov is not for sale. Reports have linked the midfielder to both Blackburn and more recently Aston Villa in a £4million transfer window swoop. However Strachan says the Bulgarian is very much wanted at Celtic and claims that the player is happy and talking about extending his contract.
Strachan said: 'There has not been an offer from Blackburn for Stilian. He has sat down regularly for the last month for talks about a new contract. Stilian really wants to stay here and that is good. We really want him to stay.'
