Diouf potentially facing jail

Diouf potentially facing jail

Rovers midfielder/striker/free kick winner El Hadji Diouf has been informed that he could face jail for up to TWO YEARS if he is convicted of assaulting a woman in a Senegalese Casino.

Diouf is no stranger to trouble which everyone is probably aware of.

He was given a suspended jail term for assaulting an team mate's ex-wife and also charged with spitting at a Celtic fan a few years back when playing for Liverpool.

But this latest misdemeanour could be the ice breaker as Diouf has been charged with assaulting a woman along with his security crew at 6am... he was charged last week whilst on a visit to Senegal to help the Haitian Earthquake Cause.

If convicted the punishment could be either a fine and/or (more likely given his history) a jail sentence of between three months and two years.

If only there was a picture I could use of me slapping my head with my hand. Idiot.

If he gets jail - I would hope the board would sack him with immediate effect.
