Jacobsen will be back in a month

Blackburn defender Lars Jacobsen has pencilled in an April return to action after undergoing a hernia operation.

Jacobsen has been out of action since a Carling Cup clash with Aston Villa ended in injury so the operation you could say has been sometime coming.

The Danish international is now just waiting for the medical all clear and then will be donning the blue and white again.

But he faces a battle for the right back spot with Michel Salgado and Pascal Chimbonda.

Jacobsen told Onside in Denmark - 'It is nine days since I had the surgery, but it is moving forward and so far it is going according to plan,'

'I would like to be ready to play again in four weeks, so hopefully I can train with the other players in a couple of weeks.'

Good to hear he is well on his way to recovery.

He will be one heck of a player in april and may, because he wants to make the squad to go to the World Cup, so wait and see....cheers

will be a good time to use him as he will be fresh and ready to go - I am not suprised he is mentioning when he will be back, he wont want the Danish manager to forget him!!!
