Tugay nets Turkish Youth Role

Tugay nets Turkish Youth Role

Rovers legend Tugay has taken up a role in the youth academy at Turkish side Galatasaray.

Tugay did actually hold talks with Rovers about entering a similar role at Brockhall but the move to Turkey, where he has also hold legendary status was too good to turn down at this point.

Tugay has however, expressed his desire to ultimately return to Ewood Park in some capacity in the future.

Williams, speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph said - "We did hold preliminary discussions with Tugay but this is a fantastic chance for him and we wish him all the best."

Good news for Tugay and I have no doubt that his long term coaching career lies with us but for now I wish him all the best.

Who knows, he has that aura about him that players just respect... the respect he commanded on the field was second to none.

I think he could be player-manager now - opportunity missed. But I guess Sam isn't doing too bad a job and saved us from relegation...

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
