Dindane move back on for the summer

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is very keen to get Aruna Dindane in a £2.5million deal from French side Lens, in fact several papers are reporting that Big Sam hopes to tie up the deal before the summer to make sure he gets his man.

Rovers missed out on Dindane in a last minute transfer swoop in January but that has not wavered Allardyce's interest - who is keen for a striker with pace.

Rovers currently have Jason Roberts, Franco Di Santo (who heads back to Cheslea in the summer), Niko Kalinic and Junior Hoilett aon the first team striking books but Allardyce feels that Dindane would add to that dimension.

This could all lead to a scenario where Rovers would finalise a deal with parent club Lens and his current loan club, Pompey would not play him for fear of an injury.

That would be strange but Pompey could be left with no choice.

I personally am for this as I think we will need two strikers in the summer with Di Santo leaving as well...

can't honestly see why you'd want him... He's... not the best striker in the world...
pompeycarpet
Our strikers are the least efficient in the PL hence bottom place prior to administration and he's the most profligate of the lot. I have to ask; he is supposedly a great character but unless you have a 6'2 tall striker to nod the ball down to him; why would you want him?
russellm
got to agree with russell and carpet, he really isn't great so take him if you want but be warned, and also why would you signing him make us stop playing him? not like we play him at the minute anyway mind.
pompeym@
Maybe you would need to agree somet with Lens, I'll be honest guys you arent really in a spot to be dictating what happens I am afraid... and Russel M - we have about 3 strikers of that height or higher to nod it down to him!!!

dont forget samba lol
sasman
I stand corrected - 4!!!!

What is the status of Di Santo? I know we're playing a 4-5-1 and a 4-3-3 but why haven't we seen much of him in the past 2 months?
SoCal Rover
surely we must do better then Dindane
