Hughes: Bellamy Is Here To Stay

Mark Hughes has stamped out the rumours surrounding Craig Bellamy's future by insiting he is more than confident the striker will be at the club next season.

'We want to keep our best players, not sell them,' Hughes told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

'We're a top-six side and looking to kick on. I'm more than confident that Craig will be here next season.'

Bellamy scored 17 goals in 26 league and Cup starts for Rovers this season.

Newcastle haven't been the same team since he left
miked_joker

jericho_5000
Thats correct.
FEn_100
lol miked, rather stating the obvious isn't it? Is any team the same when a player leaves it?
FEn_100
Tempremental is an understatement.

Good player, just don't like him. Panicked a bit when there was talk of him coming to the blues.

As soon as a better offer comes in Bellamy will be on his way. Bellamy doesn't care about loyalty or the size of the club he is playing for, he doesn't play for the jersey he only cares about the money. No offence but Blackburn aren't exactly the same stature as Celtic... not biased by the way as I'm a Rangers fan.....
scottm_1989
Blackburn are just nother notch on his bed post :p
scottm_1989
I rate him. He is a quality player and he tore pompeys defence apart towards the end of the season. He certainly knows where the goal is
POMPEYMEV
He's a great player. I know Liverpool were interested, so it may be hard keeping him if they come in for him!
richy23
Think you would see he true potential if he was at top Premier League club like Liverpool or Spurs.
GreenGiant13
He's gone! Bad mistake. Bellamy was quality and was the only player on the pitch that stopped pompey beating you last season. 6M pound. What can you do with that? You will not be able to replace bellamy with 6M. Bad move!!!!
POMPEYMEV
you will miss him greatly , will do well at liverpool
