Linganzi and Basturk shine

New boys Yildiray Basturk and Amine Linganzi both made a mark in the reserves last night during a 3-0 win over an inexperienced Wigan side.

Basturk was the star of the show again at the top of a midfield diamond and was the main creative spark.

And fellow newbie Amine Linganzi set up two first-half goals for Maceo Rigters before scoring the third himself to round off an impressive night.

To complete the good news there was even a Vince Grella sighting - which is now considered on a par with an eclipse!!!

Good news all around.

More minutes for Basturk, good stuff! Two surprises there though. First off 2 goals for Rigters and then 2 assists and a goal for Linganzi! Only reserves but it's good progress..

I wonder what it has cost so far, playing minute by playing minute, to employ Grella?
Ewoodrover
ha ha Sas!!! knew you would like that one!!! To be fair sounds like they all did well against a young Wigan side...
Mikey Delap
and great stuff from rigters if he goes on why not start?

Ewood Rover- Definately not as much as its costing us to employ Salgado! even though we got him on a free! lol....cut him some slack!

Heard on Rock Fm this morning ''Good News for Blackburn Rovers as Basturk and Grella are both match fit ready for the Bolton game this weekend''
mutts nutts
good news indeed mutts!!!! Almost full squad to choose from if I am not mistaken?
Mikey Delap
could be good, grella is solid defensively and this will give basturk the freedom to go forward.
LHrover
will be interesting what sort of formation we revert to.....
sasman
The more options that Big Sam can have open to him the better and this outing for some will all help.
