'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RIP John Steven Taylor

Now I know that a news item has been posted with the initial news of a Rovers fans death but I just wanted to share my view point on this horrible incident after the man who lost his life has been named - he is 30 year old John Taylor.

Now whilst football is a game where passion can run high and a lot of the time we can all say we are guilty of taking football a lot more seriously than really it should be.

That's fine, we all love this game and rightly so. We all love our Rovers and rightly so.

But this incident makes me sick. John, although not a man I know personally, I know of him... he was a proper Rovers fan, just like you and I.

In fact he followed Rovers through thick and thin and was an extremely well liked man - a great father and a popular out going guy.

That he should lose his life and cost his family a man that they loved at a football game when a fellow 'fan' attacked him with a bin at half time is both tragic and disgusting.

The man that did this will get his commupence and rightly so. He is not a supporter or a fan, he is a mindless moron who deserves to burn in hell.

John lost his life doing what he loves and at the age of 30 that is appalling.

At this time may I offer all our condolences to his family and with it I also offer a pledge to them as well -

John's love for Blackburn Rovers will be carried by each and every one of us from now on, in the stands and in our hearts... It's a timely reminder that we are lucky to have what we have in this life.

Thoughts to the family. It is shocking to think this was done by a Rovers "fan". Get whoever did it and lock em up and throw away the key.
