Rovers Sign Linganzi

Blackburn Rovers have signed 20 year old Algerian Midfielder, Amine Linganzi, from French Club, St Etienne on a free transfer.

After impressing on trial over the Christmas period, Sam Allardyce has snapped up the young man on a 3 and a half year contract.

It is believed that Amine wont have an immediate impact on the Rovers first team, however will be one for the next season!

Anybody no much on this lad.....football manager here i come! lol
sasman
Don't know anything about him but it seems that BSA is looking to bring on the young players who will hopefully do their part to build a younger team for the future - more encouraging that filling the squad with 30+ year old players!
YORK ROVER
Well if he is anything like N'Zonzi we may have another cracker, Its great getting another young player, although worrying wi the new player quota coming in next season that 8 of ur 25 man squad must be home grown, i.e been brought through at a british academy
glen9mullan
aye true that, but home grown are so expensive!!! how many do we have at the moment who can seriously play first team football.....Dunn, Olsson, Robinson, um lol surely im missing a few?...Derbyshire and Warnock would of been awesome!
sasman
Looks like a good bet to me, bar a striker signing we are about at capacity for the first team so bringing in youth is not a bad shout. This guy comes with a good rep so well done Big Sam!!!
Mikey Delap
I presume that we may see him against England in the summer.
Wellsy10
Hopefully we will bring in a british striker to fit into the squad cap. Looks like players such as Zurab etc will have to move perm in the summer.
rover23
hmmm maybe this is why we are keeping keith andrews on the books? does he fit the quota?
sasman
Im not against building for the future....but remember last time we built for the future? Maceo rigters anyone?
LHrover

Mikey Delap

sasman
Well what did FM say, Sas?
JT_daniel
mate he aint on the normal database, mainly cause normal database only has french top league which i dont think st etienne were in in 09 lol, might have to dig deeper
sasman
got him! 18 years old at that stage though lol, um, reads like this....a work hours (17), strong (16), defensive player (12 tackling, 14 marking) but can hit a long shot (15)....all that at 18 years lol pretty determined with a good team work ethic (both 14)
sasman
Not bad eh? :)
JT_daniel
