Koo Ja-cheol Keen On Rovers Move

Blackburn Rovers are understood to be working hard to clinch a deal for Koo Ja-cheol??

The South Korean International has claimed that Rovers are in negotiations with him after being impressed with him in a Friendly he played for South Korea last week against Latvia following an International training camp. The Jeju United midfielder has said that there is a 50-50 chance he'll sign.

Koo said: "I know that negotiations are progressing. I think that it is 50-50.

"I know that someone from Blackburn watched the game against Latvia and I know that my agent and Blackburn start serious negotiations.
"

Personally I'm not sure that the midfielder would be given a work permit would he as the 20-year-old has only won five International caps so that would be an issue I think.

The dude might think it's 50-50 but until he signs (if he does) then it's a million miles of!!

worth a gamble id say, cant be that bad if hes playing at international level. would say its a lot less than 50 - 50 though looking at the number of players weve had on trial

time for him to Mike J! This guy will have huge problems with his work permit unless the "exceptional talent" rule comes into effect!!!

Replacing experienced premiership players with more Mr No-body's not exactly a recipe for survival, not the type of signings we need, we need quality experienced players that are up for a fight, We have a 6 million pound striker who has spent most of the season on the bench cos sam dnt want to rush him, so why buy another?? Unless he is bringing a south Korean billionaire with him, our resources are best spent elsewhere

Glen that's a fair attitude but I would rather gamble on a half dozen Nzonzis and Van Heerdens than one Kalinic. As a club we have penny stock resources but a blue chip appetite. We have to shop for deals and that can only happen when we gamble a bit.

That would be a heck of a chant!!! ha ha. And I think this guy is being added to the squad not actually replacing anyone judging by his fee (i.e. very little) and the type of position he plays.
