Three Young Rovers Depart On Loan

Blackburn Rovers allowed three youngsters to leave Ewood Park in loan moves to Football League clubs last week.

Gavin Gunning joined Rotherham on a one-month loan deal. The 19-year-old played for Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore at Tranmere Rovers (also on loan) last season I think?

League Two leaders Rochdale then signed Andrew Haworth on loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old should get plenty of first-team football under his belt at Spotland.

Before the week was out Rotherham returned to borrow another player from us when Marcus Marshall joined the League Two side on loan for a month.

Gunning, Haworth and Marshall will all benefit from the time they spend away during their loan spells, however, personally I'm not sure that any of them will ever make a regular first-team breakthrough at Ewood Park??

It's a good move for them but personally I'm not sure they'll ever really feature in the first-team will they??

Gunning might, he was dubbed as the next ryan nelson wasnt he? lets just see how they do, after all, all the great players have been on loan at a young age...andy cole, beckham to name a few :)

Give them a chance Walker - a lot of folk wrote off Ollson last season - just look at him now! With some competative experience they could be hammering on the first team door sooner than we think - if just one follows the example of Hoillet or Ollson then we will be doing well. Any news on Keith Treacy?

Im still writing ollsen off, one or two ok games this season dnt make him a great player again, when he had one or two when he first came on scene he looked ok, but when he plays reguraly, he becomes a liabiltyl..... Good luck wi the youngsters going out on loan though
