Rovers push for Eguren loan

Blackburn are speculated to be pushing to sign Uruguay World Cup midfielder Sebastian Eguren on loan from Spanish giants Villarreal for the remainder of the 2009/10 season.

Sam Allardyce has contacted the Spaniards about the avilability of the 29 year old midfielder, who has a reputation for being a tough tackling monster in the middle of the park.

He has fallen out of favour with the first team selection maker at his current club.

Unlike a lot of players that Rovers get linked with Eguren actually fits in with Rovers' tight budget constrictions as he is on reasonable wages and is desperate for some first team action.

Does he have long, flowing blonde locks? I want either a Robbie Savage clone or a Tugay clone.

This guy ain´t what we need. Im from Norway, and I remember him from Rosenborg. To be honest I thought he was a defender or something, because he didnt score that much goals. Okay, a midfielder doesnt need to score goals, but if you cant score goals in Norwegian league football you cant help any team in PL. If youre good midfielder, you should score about 10 goals every season. If he can´t help us with goals or assist, we dont need that kind of a player. We already have N´Zonzi and Grella. They might not be Tugay or Savage, but thats not Eguren neither. I hope this is just crap from the press.

A loan move is no harm, worth a try, unless Sam is confident he doesn't add anything to the team except wages.
