Terrible twosome back for Rovers

El-Hadji Diouf and Morten Gamst Pedersen are back in contention for the tie against Aston Villa tomorrow after missing the game against Fulham at the weekend.

Morten was recovering from a slight strain and Diouf was serving the last game of his three game suspension so both are cleared to make the squad.

Lars Jacobsen (thigh), Vince Grella (thigh shock horror) and Jason Roberts (knee) all remain sidelined for the big match but other than that we are at full strength.

But will either Morten or Hadji make the team?

Is Diouf ever any good for you? You see him week in and week out, always looks totally overrated to me but that is from the outside and just MotD etc?!
The Fear
He was actually very solid last season but this season has lost his way!

let's give a chance to Gamst he really played well last times out (the last game appart) and is able to create somethin out of nothin...

Olsson played so well at the weekend neither are going down the left for me... but with Jacobsen injured, maybe Emo will drop to right back and diouf on the right?

This will be tricky!!!! Plenty to discuss in the matchday forum

i quite fancy a reid and emerton combo on the right both keep switching places both have some pace :) im sure we used to have them two on the right few years back. olsson and chimbonda on left:) dunn nzonzi kalinic mccarhy and jobs a good un
scottrover
damn right! keep them both out! pedersen has amazing free kicks but this season hes tooo hit and hope! and diouf is predictable! thee olsson commence on thy wing :) pace unpredictable and decent cross!

Diouf's effort this season has not warranted a spot on the bench. I would rather see someone who isn't likely to be a liability and won't be a risk for silly petulant behavior. Morton, however, has played much better as of late. Give him the start and promise him 45. If he isn't making an impact, then Sam should pull him.

nah o think we should give ollson the start show some confidence in him and if he isnt playin gd then bring on pedersen or hoilet but i dont think either of these 2 should be in the first 11 for villa
aadil4rovers
both can be great when they want to, but sometimes it seems like they dont want it enough, and when young lads who give it there all, ala olsson and hoilett are available and are playing well then I dont know if Id pick them.
