Rovers linked with Eidur

Rovers linked with Eidur

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has made Jason Roberts available for transfer and will also likely receive bids for Benni McCarthy in the near future so it seems some striker vacancies will be made available at Ewood Park soon.

So who is being linked with arriving?

Well, first James Beattie and now, slightly more interestingly, Eidur Gudjohnson.

Eidur has been struggling at Monaco this season and is keen on a move away - so word has it that Sam has made contact about bringing back a man who he managed at Bolton.

It makes sense and it looks like the fee could be about £2 million to secure his services...

It couldn't happen... could it?

Do Leeds want Roberts for Beckford? Or Reid? Or Diouf? Or MGP? Or any other of our crocked, under-performing duffers? Unlikely I know but the talk is he wants to move up. A couple of million looks a snip based on his display against a decent Utd defence.

He looked class today. He doesnt work especially hard but he has that "x-factor" that can change a game...

Dont think so... a few of those were just paper rumours so I am not sure we coudl properly say we were "linked" but the first three of those names are certainly prospects!

I think our strikers tend to be contained by opponents and do not get the space and time they need. Maybe BSA will sacrifice an out and out striker for an effective attacking midfielder / striker? Someone who will cause problems for the opposition defences (like Dunn) and create more space for the strikers?

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
