Treacy Returns To Rovers

Blackburn Rovers winger Keith Treacy has returned to Ewood Park from a loan spell with Sheffield United earlier than planned.

Treacy joined the Championship side on a six-month loan deal last summer and this wasn't due to end until the end of January 2010. However, following 17 appearances for Sheff United (and one goal) the 21-year-old has been sent back to Ewood early by Blades manager Kevin Blackwell.

The Irish winger was one of eight players that were on loan at Bramall Lane, however, only five loan players can be included in a matchday squad so at least three loanees were missing out each week so something had to give and Treacy was one of two players (along with Stoke City's Andrew Davies) that were sent back to their parent clubs.

I'm sure the loan has done Treacy good, however, I'm not sure how much he'll feature in Big Sam's plans for the future?? It'll be interesting to see what does happen as Treacy had hinted a couple of times that he wanted to tay with Sheffield United.
