Allardyce: We Handed Birmingham The Points!!

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce discusses his thoughts on our defeat at Birmingham City on Tuesday with Sky Sports.

Allardyce knew that Rovers were in for a difficult match against the inform Birmingham side but was left bitterly disappointed with the defensive lapses (particularly after we've been so strong here recently) that "gifted" Alex McLeish's side a 2-1 victory at St Andrew's. Big Sam didn't think there was much in the match apart from these errors so giving them a 2-0 lead always made it hard for us, however, he did have credit for Birmingham as well. You are able to watch and listen to what Big Sam's thoughts were here:

He;s right, the stupid mistakes were in evidence and we did ourselves no favours. We deserved to lose based on the full 90 minutes.

We did, at this level you don't offen get away with gifting your opponents a lead!!

Especially a two goal lead and to a team that had won 4 on the spin prior to the game without conceding!!

Now if only he'd play Di Santo... :-)
