Rovers offer free coach travel to Villa

Blackburn Rovers will offer free transport for all fans wishing to travel to Villa Park for their Carling Cup semi-final in January.

Sam Allardyce's men travel to Aston Villa on January 20, which follows the first leg at Ewood Park - and the Rovers board are hoping to attract a large away following to push Rovers through.

There are no condition placed on this offer, just merely that all fans wanting to take advantage must use the club's official transport.

Simon Williams, head of commercial and marketing, speaking to rovers.co.uk said - 'This will be our sixth semi-final appearance in nine years and we hope this offer will encourage as many fans as possible to get behind Sam and the team.'

Expect further details closer to the date but may I be the first to say this is a tremendous idea and shows a great respect for the Rovers fans.

Infact, I remember Randy Lerner did something similar for the Villa fans a year back or so...

Super stuff.

It makes perfect sense to do this doesn't it. The more we can take to Villa Park the better chance we have.
