Sav Wont Rob Reid of Winner

Sav Wont Rob Reid of Winner

Robbie Savage has had to admitt that last nights goal that propelled Rovers into Europe was not his but that of teammate Steven Reid.

On first veiwing it appeared that Savage had curled the ball into the back of the net form a free kick. So much so that Robbie was in fact booked for celebrating his supposed winner with the Blackburn fans.

'I think it was Reidy who scored, it was a good ball in and you know if you whip them in with that pace than a touch can see it go in.' said the modest Savage on Radio Rovers.

The Welshman then continued to praise his team mate Reid saying:

'He deserved the goal, he's been magnificnet as have all the players it is a greeat achievment for the club to get sixth place above some big teams.'

If you were at the game mate, i don't know how you can say that. I watched it on telly, and it took them numerous replays to try and sort it out and only when they put the 'snockometer' on it, could they actually decipher that there had been a touch. I wish i had eyes like yours !!
