Marrow To Stay With Oldham Until The Summer

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Alex Marrow will stay with Oldham Athletic until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old joined Oldham in August for what was an initial one-month loan spell, however, this was extended and has now been extended further until the end of the season. This will allow the midfielder to add to his 12 starts for Oldham so far, which has left Oldham manager Dave Penny more than happy.

Penny told The Official Oldham Athletic Website: "We're absolutely delighted both with the way Alex has played and to have him here until the end of the season.

"Alex has done really well since he came in. He's showed his versatility by not only playing in his more natural position in the centre of midfield but also at right-back for us.
"

It's better for Marrow to stay at Boundary Park and play regular first-team football with the League One side than return to Ewood Park and be limited to some reserve team football (at best) as this should help his future development, which is only helped with competitive football.
