Algerian Striker Joins Rovers On Trial??

Blackburn Rovers are understood to have taken Rafik Djebbour on trial.

Skysports.com is reporting that the striker (who I've never heard of!!) will spend the next two weeks training with Rovers in the hope of impressing Sam Allardyce into offering him a deal when the January Transfer Window opens.

24-year-old Djebbour has fallen out with his AEK Athens coach Dusan Bajevic so is understood to be available at a knockdown price and will leave the Greek club in the new year.

The Algerian International had recently been on trial with Celtic but couldn't secure a deal with the Scottish club so that would seem to imply that he wouldn't be able to do this at Ewood Park either, as Scottish football is hardly a step up from English football is it!!
